Building Leaders and Success through Peer Tutoring

According to the Center for Community College Student Engagement, participation in tutoring is associated with higher GPAs and pass rates.

The benefits of peer tutoring include:

  • increased performance in math, reading, and higher order thinking

  • positive effects on social and behavioral outcomes

  • increase in responsibility for academic achievement.

Peer tutoring programs are an excellent, cost-effective leadership program.  National Honor Society or other clubs are common candidates to start a program.  

A training program for tutors and study group leaders is essential.  We can help you form the foundation for successful tutoring program from inception to implementation.
