The benefits of peer tutoring include:
- increased performance in math, reading, and higher order thinking
- positive effects on social and behavioral outcomes
- increase in responsibility for academic achievement.
Peer tutoring programs are an excellent, cost-effective leadership program. National Honor Society or other clubs are common candidates to start a program.
